![]() | Dr. Alex Ploeg Being an aquarium hobbyist since the age of six, Alex Ploeg developed in his hobby by studying taxonomy of tropical fishes at the University of Amsterdam. In 1991 he became fish breeder in the Netherlands Antilles, and made his entrance in the tropical fish trade in 1993. Since 1994 Alex has been involved in OFI as an advisor, since 2002 as member of the Executive Board. He was appointed Secretary General with effect from April 1st 2004. |
